21ST ANNUAL OPEN AIR MARKET 2008

It's Spring and time to clean out the garage, attic, and closets!! You may think it's trash, but someone else may see it as treasure. Cherrystone's annual Open Air Market is the place to find treasure hunters! Spaces are 10X10 at $20.00 for a space under the pavilion, or $10.00 for a space in the grass surrounding the pavilion. The date is Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Cherrystone Family Camping Resort Pavilion.
Don't forget all you artsy, craftsy, folks! We have spaces available for you too! Call for your space at 757-331-3063 and ask for Cathy.
We are expecting alot of campers for the Memorial Weekend. So what are you waiting for? Spaces are limited..call early!

FLOUNDER REGULATIONS POSTED FOR 2008

Check out Hutch's Fishing Report for the latest. The new flounder regulations for 2008 were made public on February 26th. And it could have been much worse than it actually is.
The Virginia Marine Resources Commission decided on a 19 inch length minimum, a five fish limit and a closed season from July 21-30. Season begins March 1, 2008.

This picture was taken by Mable Harrison, Cherrystone's Welcome Center Manager. It was taken on our annual staff fishing trip on the "Miss Jennifer" head boat in June 2007. Captain Ray Cardone caught up with this Momma and baby and about 40 other dolphins just off Cape Charles. SWEET!!
Mable took thousands of pictures in 2007 and left us all with some wonderful memories.
