April

April 6-8
Easter Fun Weekend

This fun-filled weekend features our popular Clam Roast. In addition to Cherrystone little-neck clams, we’ll have hot dogs, potatoe salad, baked beans, and all the fixings. Activities include a Easter egg hunt, egg races, egg roll, cake walk, egg toss and prizes. Sunday morning church services will be followed by a free coffee and doughnuts. Package includes the site type of your choice for Friday and Saturday nights, and 2 tickets to the Clam Roast. Reservations are limited, so plan early to join us.

Annual Welcome Luncheon for Seasonal Campers

We want to welcome back our seasonal campers in an extra special way with this themed luncheon at the Littleneck Café. Be there at 2 p.m.

Cherrystone’s 47th Anniversary Celebration & Mother’s Day Weekend

This special surprise weekend package features fun family activities including mother & child pedal boat races, live entertainment, and a special Sunday morning breakfast for Mom at the Little Neck Café. Our anniversary gift to you, our guest, is one free night’s site fee. Pay for Friday and receive Saturday night free. Also look for discounts in our General Store and Bait and Tackle Shop.

Memorial Day Weekend

SUMMER IS HERE, and Memorial Day Weekend is going to be a blast. First is the annual Memorial Day Open Air Market. Do your spring cleaning and sell your unwanted treasures here, or just come on down to find a great bargain. Open Air Market spaces are available through the Welcome Center.

On Sunday, don’t miss the Memorial Day Parade. Decorate your bike or yourself and march to honor those who have served and protected our nation.

Chocoholic’s Weekend

This weekend it’s all about your sweet tooth. Play Candy Bar Bingo, Chocolate Art, make Human Sundaes (What’s a human sundae? You’ll just have to see for yourself!), Pudding Pass and more! If you’re a chocolate addict, you won’t want to miss this! We guarantee, you’ve never encountered chocolate quite like this before.

Father’s Day Weekend

There’s no better way to celebrate Dad’s special day than a trip to Cherrystone Family Camping Resort for a weekend of activities planned with Dad in mind. There will be Pedal Boat Races (father and child), Father and Child Clam Hunt, live entertainment on Saturday night and a special Sunday morning breakfast for Dad in the Littleneck Café.

Wizard’s Weekend

Calling all Wizards! Hop on your broom and fly on over for a spellbinding weekend that includes a wizards’ costume contest and a magical quest. Also, create your very own magic wand and make a sorcerer’s hat. Don’t miss this charmed weekend of fun for all ages. Muggles are welcome too!

Independence Day/July 4th

Come celebrate America’s Birthday dressed as your favorite American hero at our Independence Day costume contest. You won’t want to miss our Independence Day parade either. There are activities for the entire family and to top off your visit, enjoy our spectacular fireworks display on July 4th.

50’s Rock & Roll Weekend

We’re turning back the clock to the 1950's with an oldpfashioned sock hop and costume contest as you jitterbug the night away, a bubble gum blowing contest, 50’s trivia contest, hula-hoop contest, Name that 50’s Tune competition, watermelon eating contest, sidewalk art, and more! For added fun, it's also out 5th annual Clam Hunt so bring your bags and buckets (be sure to wear the proper footwear!) Join us for a rock and roll weekend to remember!

Space Camp Weekend

Attention all budding astronauts: this weekend is for you! There will be a special display by NASA, and activities will include making your own bottle rocket, a lunar walk and more! It's also our 6th annual Clam Hunt, so bring your bags and buckets.

July 20-22
Fiesta Weekend

Join us for a weekend of Mexican fiesta fun including a pinata, flower making, twilight volleyball, soda bottle bowling, a scavenger hunt, and remote car races. For those who dare, there will also be a taco eating contest. Fiesta fun for the entire family!

July 27-29
Race Weekend

Attention all race fans! Speed to Cherrystone for a weekend of race activities for the whole family. Wear the logos and colors of your favorite driver at our Race Outfit Contest. We’ll have Matchbox car races and remote control car races (bring your own), NASCAR trivia contest and our own Cherrystone 500 race. On Sunday, watch the race on Cherrystone’s big screen TV at the Little Neck Café.

Pirate’s Weekend

Ahoy Mates! Escape the gallows and come aboard for Pirate’s Weekend. Seaworthy activities include the search for Blackbeard’s treasure, costume contests, construction of your own “Pirate Ship on Wheels”, plus the Pirate Parade featuring Blackbeard himself. Fun for all...

Island Weekend

Don't miss this weekend of fun, island style! This action-packed weekend includes a best island outfit contest and pineapple eating contest. We'll be doing the limbo or you can test your strenght with tug-o-war. Live entertainment rounds out this weekend you won't want to miss.

Backyard Carnival Weekend

Ah, those great memories of going back to carnivals as a kid. Well, the carnival is back and better than ever at Cherrystone. We'll have all your favorite games including Penny Toss, Shave the Balloon, Softball Throw, Ring Toss, Duck Pond and more. There will be lots of cool prizes too!!

Back to School Weekend

The end of summer, doesn’t need to be the end of fun! Our back to school weekend includes 25% off site fees (2 nights or more) plus great end-of-season sales at The General Store and Bait and Tackle Shop!

Labor Day Weekend

It’s Mardi Gras time at Cherrystone! Say “so long” to summer with a fun-filled family celebration. There will be family games and scavenger hunts, our Mardi Gras costume contest, king cake and parade. Help us crown our new King Stone and Queen Cherry as we say good-bye to summer. Also look for special discounts on Cherrystone souvenirs.

September is Camper Appreciation Month!

Camp with us September 3 - 30 and receive a 20% discount on site fees (Fri-Sun).

Eastern Shore Autumn Harvest Fest

Harvest Fest is a one-day festival sponsored by the Eastern Shore of Virginia Chamber of Commerce featuring arts & crafts exhibits, live entertainment and all-you-can-eat clam chowder, chicken wings, fried green tomatoes, softshell crab sandwiches, crabcake sandwiches, pork barbecue, sweet potato biscuits with country ham, sweet potato pie, soft drinks and more.

Tickets to Harvest Fest are limited and always sell-out, so call EARLY!!

Halloween WEEKENDS!

Our annual Halloween celebration is a SPOOK-tacular, FUN-filled time. This awesome weekend includes a costume contest for kids and adults with prizes awarded to the winners, carved or decorated pumpkin contest, hayrides, “Trick or Treat” for children 12 and younger, entertainment, horror movie and magician. Get in the “spirit” as you decorate your site. We will give a special prize for the most creative! Come early and receive Thursday night for ½ price! Stay till Monday and receive Sunday night for ½ price!
Cherrystone’s 15th Annual Haunted House
Our haunted house is so scary, it’s well, scary. Visit our Haunted House during our Halloween Weekends in October of a ghoulishly good time. Tickets sold separately. Please contact the Welcome Center for more information.
